Acupuncture is an ancient art – a community art –
and at Common
Source Acupuncture, that underscores everything about the way I practice.    Whether you come in with daily stress, athletic injuries, insomnia, or in need of treatment to supplement other medical modalities, Common Source Acupuncture can provide a calming and healing space, applying methods refined over thousands of years.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture uses extremely fine needles to smooth and facilitate the flow of the body’s natural energies or qi.  By inserting these needles in key points along the body’s energetic channels, qi is drawn to areas in need of support, thus focusing your own healing abilities.  So, an acupuncturist’s job is to remind your body of its innate ability to function optimally, not to act as a healer or miracle worker.  The amazing thing about acupuncture is that it simply allows your body to do what it wants to do naturally.

What is community acupuncture?

Because acupuncture works best when people can comfortably receive treatments as often as necessary, the community model provides affordable acupuncture by treating several patients within the same hour.  When you arrive, we’ll spend a bit, talking about your current condition and what we need to focus on.  After we get the acupuncture needles in, you rest while the treatment progresses.  In that time, other patients can meet with me and receive their own treatments nearby.  Seeing several patients in the same time period makes treatments more affordable and creates a healing group energy.  More information on community acupuncture can be found here.

Common Source Acupuncture provides affordable and effective acupuncture treatment in a comfortable group setting. The sliding scale is always  $20 – $40.  You decide what you can afford.

The purpose of the sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; I want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better!

  7. Nicole is AMAZING!!!
I’ve never done accupuncture before and I felt calm, like hanging out with an old friend. Relaxing for a half hour seemed like 5 minutes! I didn’t want to leave! The best part, I didn’t have to! I came in for a pinched sciatic nerve (tried chiropractic care, didn’t work) and after the first visit, I felt relief. Highly, highly recommend.
    I’m a firm believer.
    Thank you Nicole!!!

  8. I drive over 40 mins to Commonsource from Metro Detroit and it is 1000% worth the drive. I’ve suffered with treatment resistant depression and anxiety for the last couple years, along with other internal issues, and Nicole is the only person who has consistently helped me. Her genuine care, empathy, and determination to help you feel better is simply the best. Her sliding scale fits in our budget and allows me to see her on a regular basis. I’ve become a firm believer in acupuncture and recommend Nicole to many. You won’t regret becoming a patient here. My only regret is that I didn’t start seeing her sooner! Thank you, Nicole! You are a gift <3.

  9. I searched for a local acupuncturist after a TMJ flare in early 2018, and found Nicole! She’s a skilled practitioner with a wonderful presence (and a calming treatment area!).
Treatment helped improve my TMJ, liver congestion, anxiety levels, and general mood! If you need community acupuncture, check out her practice. She’s taking every measure possible to keep clients and herself safe amidst the pandemic.
